Mutual Exchange

Tenants can exchange their home with another Queens Cross tenant or with a tenant of another housing association or local authority.  Our leaflet tells you more about how a mutual exchange works.

Looking for someone to exchange with?

There are various ways to find someone to swap homes with.  There are mutual exchange websites like homeswapper.co.uk or houseexchange.org.uk and many tenants find people to swap with over social media or through sites like gumtree.com.  It can also happen through word of mouth or by choosing to exchange with a friend or family member.

We keep a register of tenants who are interested in a mutual exchange. Please complete a registration form to add your details to the register.

You can view the register here.  If you see a property on the register that you are interested in and want to discuss an exchange, please get in touch with your Housing Officer.

Found another tenant willing to exchange with you?

When you have found another tenant you want to exchange with, both tenants should complete a mutual exchange application form and send both forms to our office. 

We will consider your request and will get back to you within 28 days.
